PC Tracer RTX 4070: the setup, its performance and its successor in 2026

A gaming PC with RTX 4070 in 2026

By the FlowUP team, gaming PC builder in Genappe (Belgium) · Updated 30 September 2026

In brief: the Tracer is a FlowUP gaming PC launched in September 2023, built around a GeForce RTX 4070 and an Intel Core i5-13600KF, in an open Antec Torque case. It is no longer listed in the range. In 2026, a 4070-based PC still handles 1440p very comfortably with DLSS. For a brand-new equivalent, the current option is a RTX 5070, around 24% faster at 1440p according to Tom's Hardware: it’s the GPU in our PC Cheetoh.

What was the Tracer PC?

The Tracer was the PC we unveiled in the autumn of 2023 to play in 1440p with all the settings pushed to the max. Its look didn’t go unnoticed: a white-and-black Antec Torque case, completely open, so you can see every component, with 360 mm watercooling to cool the processor.

Inside, a very well-balanced pairing for the time: the Core i5-13600KF, one of the best gaming processors from its generation, and an RTX 4070 with DLSS 3 and image generation. A setup designed for high-frequency 1440p.

What’s an RTX 4070 PC worth in 2026?

Our builder’s take: it’s still a very good PC for 1440p. The RTX 4070 benefits from DLSS 4 for upscaling and from standard image generation, giving it even more headroom in today’s games. Its 12GB of video memory is enough for 1440p, but it starts to feel tight in 4K.

The Core i5-13600KF, meanwhile, doesn’t hold the graphics card back. If you have a Tracer, the most useful upgrade is to go up to 32GB of RAM if you’re still on 16GB, in DDR4. To understand where the limits are, read our article on the VRAM shortage.

Which FlowUP PC replaces the Tracer?

No model bears its name anymore, but three PCs in our range take over its role, using a 2025-generation graphics card. The Cheetoh is the direct successor, with an RTX 5070 and 360 mm watercooling, just like on the Tracer. The Prism and the Abyssin step it up one notch for high-refresh 1440p.
