Which laptop should you buy?
You’re ready to invest in a new laptop, but you feel overwhelmed by the wide range of options available on the market?
No panic! Choosing the right laptop can be a real headache, but with the right information, you can make an informed decision that perfectly meets your needs. 🎯

In this complete guide, I’ll reveal the essential tips to help you navigate through the technical specifications and features, so you can find the ideal laptop that fits perfectly into your digital life.
Laptop for work or laptop for gaming?
In reality, it’s an old debate that no longer has any reason to exist.
Most PC gamers obviously have fairly powerful components to carry out all kinds of tasks; the opposite isn’t necessarily true.

If you need an extremely powerful computer for 3D rendering and video editing, we also strongly recommend turning to gaming PCs. Indeed, the NVIDIA technology built into dedicated graphics cards is often essential for using this type of software.
Step 1: choose the brand of your computer
As with any product you want to buy, the brand is obviously important and a guarantee of quality.
In the hardware world—especially in the case of gaming PCs—there are many brands with an excellent reputation for laptops. You’ll find, for example, brands such as MSI, ASUS, OMEN, RAZER, etc... (just to name a few)
In any case, we encourage you to research the different brands, their products, and user reviews.
Step 2: Screen size
Screen size is an essential factor to consider.
It all depends on your use and your preferences.
For gaming, some people prefer to go for 15-inch, while others prefer 18-inch to enjoy stunning graphics.
For work, a wider screen can be useful to keep an eye on several applications at the same time.
Step 2: Screen size
The screen resolution and the number of hertz delivered also need to be taken into account. This will depend on your expectations in terms of image quality and the number of frames per second.
Finally, the aspect ratio also matters, as in this example with 16:10.
Step 3: Components
Once again, it all depends on how you’ll use it.
To play in 1080P on games that aren’t very demanding, such as Apex, Valorant, or even League of Legends, a RTX 4050/ RTX 4060 will do perfectly well.
For demanding games at higher resolutions such as 1440P (QHD) or 2160P (4K), you’ll need to go for at least a RTX 4070.
Step 3: Components
The processor is also very important.
It handles absolutely all tasks, but also runs certain games.
It’s the brain of your computer.
For demanding games and/or heavy applications to run, such as 3D plans, an i7 13th is the minimum to have.
Step 3: Components
Finally, RAM and storage.
16GB is enough for gaming, but 32GB is necessary for applications. DDR4 or DDR5 matters for speed and for reading applications.
Storage lets you install applications and more; its write speed is important for how quickly the installed applications open and run.
1TB of storage is important if you want to store enough games, and the GEN 3 or 4 for speed.
These are, overall, the most important points to remember when making your choice of a laptop.
