Designed as the new flagship of the COSMOS line, the Cosmos Alpha puts the focus on three simple promises: more freedom in layout, more space for components and more clearance for cooling.
On paper, it’s already laying its cards on the table: compatibility up to E-ATX / EEB motherboards, GPU support up to 400 mm, PSU support up to 240 mm, CPU air cooler support up to 186 mm, cable space of 53 mm behind the motherboard tray, two front fans 200 x 38 mm pre-installed, a rear Mobius 120 mm fan, up to 15 fans in total, and a radiator mounting support up to 420 mm. As for connectivity, you get 4 USB-A 5G, 2 USB-C 20G and an audio combo for headset/microphone on the front.
A recognisable flagship design
The Cosmos Alpha takes the series’ historic visual DNA and modernises it. Cooler Master highlights a premium finish true to the COSMOS DNA, with curved aluminium frames, a tempered glass side panel, and a signature design reinforced by ARGB lighting under the case.
It’s not trying to copy the latest cases on the market. It has a real silhouette, for builds that need to be as much to perform as to show off.
modularity and freeform 2.0
One of the most interesting features of the Cosmos Alpha is its sliding motherboard tray. Cooler Master has designed it to free up space inside the chassis and make it easier to move from an aircooling-focused approach to a more ambitious watercooling one. In practice, it also allows you to fine-tune the relationship between the graphics card and the side panel—either to optimise airflow, or to better showcase the GPU.
There’s also the FreeForm 2.0, with internal rotational components and an architecture designed to multiply layout possibilities. This is complemented by a adjustable and sliding fan support, designed to bring the fans closer to the system’s hottest zones.
designed for high-end configurations
Cooler Master didn’t just want to make a big case. The brand also wanted to build a proper cooling platform. The Cosmos Alpha includes two 200 x 38 mm front fans and a Mobius 120 mm rear fan, with a chassis that can accommodate up to 15 fans in total.
The radiator mount is just as generous: up to 360 mm at the top, 360 mm at the bottom, and up to 420 mm on the side mounting. For a custom build, the playground is clearly there.
enough space for customisation
With dimensions of 669 x 330 x 639 mm and an advertised volume of up to 140 litres, the Cosmos Alpha plays in the big leagues. It supports motherboards up to the EEB format, graphics cards up to 400 mm, and PSUs up to 240 mm.
Here, the message is clear: we want to make room for large cards, big radiators, large cables, and a proper build. The 53 mm of space behind the motherboard tray also goes in the same direction to keep the cabling neat.
Those who frequently build PCs know this: ease of assembly isn’t just about compatibility, it’s also about the clearance. And on that point, the Cosmos Alpha is clearly designed to provide it.
Consistent connectivity
The I/O panel lives up to the rest, with 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C 20G ports and a combo audio jack. Cooler Master also adds several practical features such as removable dust filters, a graphics card support, a decorative cover and a right-side cable cover.
They’re details, but it’s often those that separate a spec-sheet case from one that’s enjoyable to use. On a product in this category, that’s exactly what you expect.
Our verdict on the COSMOS ALPHA
With the Cosmos Alpha, Cooler Master isn’t trying to follow a trend—it puts the idea of a flagship case back at the centre, capable of serving as the foundation for extreme builds. With its signature design, huge cooling potential, modularity and interior space, it ticks a lot of boxes for anyone who wants to build a PC without having to compromise.
The point isn’t to be big—it’s to use that size for more freedom, comfort and customisation possibilities. It clearly has what it takes to establish itself as one of the most ambitious chassis in the Cooler Master range.
