Snapdragon X Plus: A new heavyweight in the lineup

The Snapdragon X range is expanded with the Snapdragon X Plus, a chip that stands out for its ability to deliver CPU performance up to 37% faster than that of its competitors, while reducing power consumption by up to 54%. 

This processor features 10 cores, an impressive 42 MB cache, and a maximum clock speed of 3.4 GHz, making it an ideal solution for laptops that aim to combine power and battery life.

An energy-efficient and powerful chip

At the heart of the Snapdragon X Plus platform is the Hexagon AI processing unit, NPU, capable of up to 45 tera operations per second (TOPS). 

This capability makes it possible to integrate new AI-optimised applications and features, such as code generation, AI-assisted music production, and live captions—bringing an enriched and adaptive user experience.

Snapdragon X Elite: The premium tier comes to light

The range is also expanded with three new Snapdragon X Elite processor models. With configurations of up to 12 Oryon cores and boost-mode frequencies reaching as high as 4.2 GHz, these chips are designed for those who demand the most from their hardware. 

The X Elite models stand out for their advanced support for LPDDR5X memory, enabling transfer speeds of up to 8448 MT/s.

Initial evaluations of the Snapdragon X Elite indicate tight competition with the best processors on the market, including in gaming scenarios. 

For example, the game “Control” has been shown running at 30 frames per second without the need for a dedicated graphics card, proving the efficiency of Qualcomm’s integrated graphics solutions.
