PC gaming sales 2027: dates in France and Belgium and how to spot a genuine deal

The sales calendar and the 30-day rule

By the FlowUP team, gaming PC builder in Genappe (Belgium) · Updated 30 September 2026

In brief: in France, the winter sales 2027 run from Wednesday 6 January to Tuesday 2 February 2027. In Belgium, they run from Saturday 2 to Sunday 31 January 2027, and the Belgian summer sales from 1 to 31 July. For a gaming PC, one thing to do: check that the discount is calculated using the lowest price from the last 30 days, this is the rule in both France and Belgium.

Sales, Black Friday and promotions: what’s the difference?

Sales are a period set by law. In France, it’s one of the few periods when a retailer is allowed to resell a product at a loss, to clear stock. Black Friday, on the other hand, is not a sales period in the legal sense: it’s a commercial event at the end of November, during which each brand does whatever it wants.

For a gaming PC, they’re both the same: what matters is the real discount on the configuration you’re interested in. The Black Friday 2026 schedule and the models to watch are in our article Black Friday 2026: the FlowUP gaming PCs to watch.

How do you know if a promotion on a gaming PC is real?

Since 2022, a European rule (the so-called "Omnibus" directive) requires sellers to calculate a discount based on the lowest price charged during the previous 30 days. So an inflated price the day before the sales to show a big discount is no longer allowed. That’s your best weapon: if the crossed-out price looks high, check the history.

Next, compare configurations that are genuinely equivalent. Here’s what we look at first when someone asks whether an offer is worth it:

  • The graphics card and its memory: an 8 GB RTX 5060 Ti and a 16 GB one carry almost the same name but won’t age the same way. Why, explained in our article on the lack of VRAM.
  • The processor: same generation, same tier. A "Core i5" or a "Ryzen 5" without a precise reference doesn’t mean anything.
  • Memory and storage: 16 or 32 GB, DDR4 or DDR5, SSD capacity.
  • Power supply and cooling: these are the parts you cut first when trying to lower a price.
  • Assembly and warranty: a PC tested and covered by its assembler’s warranty isn’t the same value as a pile of parts.

Our gaming PCs to watch during the sales

Rather than chasing the biggest red label, first choose the model that matches your screen and your games, then watch for the offer on that model. For 1080p and 1440p, a graphics card with 16 GB of video memory is the right choice in 2026. For 1440p at high refresh rate or 4K, you need to move up a tier.

No. In France and in Belgium, the discount must be calculated based on the lowest price applied during the previous 30 days.
