Intel Arc Battlemage 24GB: Arc Pro B60, B70 and the entire lineup in 2026

By the FlowUP team, gaming PC builder in Genappe (Belgium) · Updated 29 September 2026

In brief: the rumoured early-2025 Intel Arc Battlemage card with 24GB does indeed exist: it’s the Arc Pro B60 (BMG-G21 chip, 20 Xe cores, 24GB on a 192-bit interface), sold for $599 and intended for AI and workstations. Intel has since added the Arc Pro B70 (32GB, BMG-G31 chip, $949). For gamers, the lineup stops at Arc B580 (12GB) and B570 (10GB): the B770, based on the larger BMG-G31 chip, still hasn’t launched by the end of September 2026.

Battlemage, what is it?

Battlemage is the code name for the second generation of Intel Arc graphics cards (Xe2 architecture), after Alchemist. It kicked off with the Arc B580 in December 2024, an entry-level card that surprised with its value for money and its 12GB of memory.

At the start of 2025, leaks pointed to a 24GB VRAM version for professionals. They were right: Intel unveiled the Arc Pro B50 and B60 at Computex in May 2025, followed by a bigger version in 2026.

Arc Pro B60 and B70: cards for AI, not for gaming

The Arc Pro targets workstations: 3D design, computation and above all local AI inference, where the amount of memory determines the size of the language models you can run. With 24GB for $599, the Arc Pro B60 was one of the cheapest ways to get that much VRAM. Some manufacturers even built cards with two B60 chips on a single card, for 48GB.

The Arc Pro B70 goes up to 32GB on the larger BMG-G31 chip. Puget Systems calls it “aggressively positioned” for multi-card inference workstations, while noting that the software ecosystem still needs to catch up to NVIDIA’s.

For local AI, VRAM matters more than raw performance.

And what about the B770 for gamers?

The big BMG-G31 chip, nicknamed “Big Battlemage”, was confirmed by Intel in its drivers in 2025, and a gaming-focused Arc B770 was expected. As of 29 September 2026, however, it has only launched in a professional version: the Arc Pro B70. For gaming, the most powerful Intel card is still the Arc B580.

Is the Arc B580 still worth it for gaming in 2026?

In its June 2026 GPU ranking, Tom’s Hardware places the Arc B580 at the level of an RTX 3060 Ti or an RTX 4060, and says that its 12GB don’t make up for the gap with newer cards: the site recommends an RTX 5060 or an RX 9060 instead. Intel’s drivers have improved a lot, but remain less consistent game to game than those from AMD and NVIDIA. At a low second-hand price, it’s still a solid 1080p card, especially with a recent processor.
