ARC Raiders: what PC setup to play at 1080p / 1440p / 4K?

ARC Raiders is a PvPvE shooter where readability and stability matter just as much as FPS. Here, we start with the official specs (minimum + recommended), and then I’ll suggest 3 “comfort” configs (FHD/QHD/4K) so you can play without wrestling with the settings.

The official specs (to know before buying)

Embark also gives performance targets (handy—so you don’t have to guess):

Minimum:

OS: Windows 10 or later 64-bit (latest update)

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen R5 1600

RAM: 12GB RAM

Video / GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 580 or Intel Arc A380

Performance Targets: Low graphics settings, 1080p, 60 fps

Recommended:

OS: Windows 10 or later 64-bit (latest update)

CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600

RAM: 16GB RAM

Video / GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT or Intel Arc B570

Performance Targets: High graphics settings, 1440p, 60 fps

Epic:

OS: Windows 10 or later 64-bit (latest update)

CPU: Intel i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

RAM: 16GB RAM

Video / GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti / GeForce RTX 5070 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

Performance Targets: Epic graphics settings, resolution scaling quality, 1440p, 90 fps

Note: Steam/Embark list the OS, CPU/GPU/RAM, DX12 and networking, but no official minimum storage on the page at the time these specs are published. (So, plan for an SSD and some extra room for patches.)

Our take on playing comfortably with at least 120 FPS

FlowUP configuration Target CPU (your choice) GPU (your choice) RAM Notes
Config 1 High / competitive 1080p
  • Intel i5-12400F
  • AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
  • RTX 5060 Ti 8GB
  • RX 9060 XT 8GB
16 / 32 GB Stable FHD. 32 GB if you multitask/record.
Config 2 High 1440p
  • Ryzen 5 7500X3D
  • Ryzen 5 9600X
  • RTX 5070
  • RX 9070
16 / 32 GB QHD sweet spot. 32 GB recommended for long-term “comfort”.
Config 3 High 4K
  • Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • Core Ultra 7 265K
  • Intel i7-14700KF
  • RTX 5070 Ti
  • RX 9070 XT
  • RTX 5080
32 GB In 4K, it’s almost always the GPU that calls the shots. 32 GB is mandatory.

The 3 recommended configs by FlowUP (FHD / QHD / 4K)

Here, the idea isn’t to “copy the minimum”, but to go for a long-lasting PC: better smoothness in fights, less stuttering, and more headroom if the game evolves.

Config FHD 1080p (high / competitive)

CPU: Intel i5-12400F

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5060

RAM: 16 GB or 32 GB

Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD (comfort)

➡️ Goal: clearly beat the official “1080p Low” minimum, without blowing the budget.

High 1440p (a super sweet spot) 0

CPU: Intel Core i5 14400F

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB

RAM: 16GB DDR5

Storage: 1TB M.2 SSD

Learn more

➡️ We’re in the spirit of the official recommended 1440p High specs, but with more headroom on the GPU/RAM.

Config 4K (high, with smart settings)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5080

RAM: 32 GB (more comfortable in 2026, especially for multitasking)

Storage: 2TB NVMe SSD

➡️ In 4K, it’s almost always the GPU that determines how comfortable it is. Concretely: leave some headroom for big scenes/effects. 0

Quick tweaks to gain FPS without ruining the image

  • Start by lowering shadows / volumetrics / effects: it’s often the best quality/performance ratio.
  • Aim for stability (frametime): in reality, a stable 90 fps “feels” better than a 120 fps that stutters.
  • And since ARC Raiders is online, turn off unnecessary overlays and keep your drivers up to date (fewer bugs, more consistency).

If you just want to launch ARC Raiders, the minimum is enough (1080p Low). But for a PvPvE game where you want clarity and clean fights, aim for: RTX 5060 in FHD, RTX 5070 in QHD, and RTX 5080 in 4K (or Radeon 9070 XT). And bear in mind that specs can change with updates.
