In brief:
- Minimum specs: RTX 2060 or RX 5600 XT, Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB RAM (1080p, 30 FPS, Low).
- Recommended specs: RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT, Core i7-10700 or Ryzen 7 3700X, 16 GB RAM and an SSD (1440p, 60 FPS, High).
- Required: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled, otherwise the game won’t launch.
- Our tip: aim for 12 GB of video memory or more, like the RTX 5070 from our Rampage V2 PC, to play in 1440p without compromise.
Battlefield 6 launched on 10 October 2025 on PC and shattered the numbers: more than 747,000 players at the same time on Steam on release day, according to SteamDB. A year later, between the seasons, new maps and the free REDSEC mode, it remains one of the most played FPS titles.
But the Battlefield 6 PC version is also demanding, with strict access requirements. Here’s the required Battlefield 6 configuration, the real FPS measured by the specialist press, and the PC we recommend depending on your goal.

Battlefield 6 on PC: a spectacular FPS, but demanding.

From the minimum profile to Ultra++, Battlefield 6 PC adapts to many configurations, as long as you have enough video memory.
The Ultra++ profile matches almost exactly our Orion PC: RTX 5080 and Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
Battlefield 6 on PC: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are mandatory
Battlefield 6 won’t launch if TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot aren’t enabled on your PC. EA enforces this for its Javelin anti-cheat, which works at the Windows kernel level.
- Secure Boot: enable it in your motherboard’s BIOS. On some older PCs, you first need to switch the drive to GPT.
- TPM 2.0: found on recent processors (fTPM on AMD, PTT on Intel), sometimes disabled by default.
- Linux and Steam Deck: you can’t play it there, the anti-cheat blocks SteamOS.
- On a FlowUP PC: our PCs ship with Windows 11, which already requires TPM 2.0.

TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are set in the motherboard BIOS.
Battlefield 6 PC: how many FPS with an RTX 5060, 5070 or RX 9060 XT?
At the highest settings in 1440p (Overkill) with DLSS 4 or FSR 4 in Quality mode, an RTX 5070 runs at over 100 FPS, an RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB or an RX 9060 XT 16 GB around 60 to 70 FPS. The 16 GB cards keep stable minimum image rates.
| Graphics card | Average FPS | 1% of the slowest frames |
|---|---|---|
| RTX 5060 (8 GB) | 61,0 | 54,1 |
| RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB | 69,8 | 60,9 |
| RX 9060 XT 16 GB | 61,6 | 55,1 |
| RTX 5070 (12 GB) | 103,7 | 87,7 |
| RX 9070 XT | 112,7 | 99,9 |
| RTX 5070 Ti (16 GB) | 124,9 | 108,4 |

Without upscaling, in 1440p High, TechSpot measures 94 FPS for an RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and 84 FPS for an RX 9060 XT 16 GB. And in multiplayer, ComputerBase notes that the game runs faster than in the campaign, but consumes more video memory.
To see what an RX 9060 XT 16 GB looks like in a FlowUP PC, Mathis and Gauthier tested our Rift PC (Ryzen 5 7500F and RX 9060 XT 16GB) in several recent games:

Is 8 GB of VRAM enough for Battlefield 6?
8 GB of video memory are enough to play Battlefield 6 at 1080p, but not for the maximum settings. TechSpot says the Overkill preset is "too demanding for 8 GB cards", and ComputerBase, as well as PCGH, recommend at least 12 GB for maximum detail.
- RX 9060 XT: the 8 GB version loses 15% of average FPS and 33% on the slowest frames compared with the 16 GB model.
- RTX 5060 Ti: the 8 GB version loses 11% and 24%.
- The 8 GB solution: lower the texture quality by one step; the difference on-screen is minimal.
- To go further: our article 8, 12 or 16 GB of VRAM.

Video memory makes a difference in Battlefield 6, especially at 1440p.
Is Battlefield 6 CPU-hungry?
Yes: TechSpot ranks it among "the most CPU-hungry FPS". But even a Ryzen 5 5600 already exceeds 100 FPS, according to PCGH. The CPU only becomes truly limiting beyond 150 to 200 FPS, useful mainly on a 240 Hz display.
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D: 192 FPS at 1080p Overkill with an RTX 5090, the best score from the TechSpot test.
- Ryzen 5 7600X, Ryzen 5 9600X, Core i5-14600K: around 130 FPS.
- Ryzen 7 5800X3D : 124 FPS.
- To avoid: 4-core processors, among the slowest in the test.

A recent 6-core processor is enough for over 100 FPS in Battlefield 6.

The workshop’s take
For a Battlefield 6 PC, video memory matters as much as raw power. The Rampage V2 is the best balance: its 12 GB of VRAM and RTX 5070 take 1440p above 100 FPS with DLSS 4. Do you also play Call of Duty or Warzone? It will do the job just as well.

Battlefield 6 PC FAQ
What are the Battlefield 6 minimum requirements?
An RTX 2060, an RX 5600 XT or an Arc A380 (6 GB), a Core i5-8400 or a Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 and 55 GB storage, for 1080p at 30 FPS on Low. TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are required.
Battlefield 6 PC requirements: do you need an SSD?
For the minimum profile, a hard drive is enough (55 GB). With the recommended setup, EA requires an SSD of 90 GB. We recommend it in any case for faster loading.
Battlefield 6 Secure Boot: why won’t the game start?
Most of the time, it’s Secure Boot or TPM 2.0 that isn’t enabled in the BIOS. EA’s Javelin anti-cheat requires them to launch the game.
Which PC for Battlefield 6 at 1440p?
An RTX 5070 or an RX 9060 XT 16 GB minimum, with a recent 6-core processor and 16 GB of RAM. Our Rampage V2 PC (RTX 5070, Ryzen 7 5700X, 32 GB) exceeds 100 FPS at 1440p Overkill with DLSS 4.
Does Battlefield REDSEC require the same setup?
Yes. The free-to-play battle royale REDSEC, launched on 28 October 2025, takes over the Battlefield 6 setup, including TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
