Diablo IV: what gaming PC do you need to play it in 2026?

Official requirements, Lord of Hatred and our advice

By the FlowUP team, gaming PC builder in Genappe (Belgium) · Updated 30 September 2026

In brief: Diablo IV runs on modest PCs: the recommended setup calls for a GTX 970 or an RX 470, 16GB of RAM and an SSD for 1080p at medium quality and 60 frames per second. To enjoy it in 1440p or 4K with the latest expansion, Lord of Hatred (released 28 April 2026), go for a current-generation graphics card. On the platform side, a recent Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 is more than enough.

Diablo IV in 2026: where does the game stand?

Released on 6 June 2023 (and on 17 October 2023 on Steam), Diablo IV received two expansions. Vessel of Hatred, in October 2024, added the Nahantu region and the Spiritborn class. Lord of Hatred, released on 28 April 2026, adds two classes, the Paladin and the Necromancer, a new region, Skovos, a revamped endgame, and gear crafting with the Horadric Cube.

The game remains a highly readable action-RPG that runs well even on an entry-level PC. What changes with a good configuration is the smoothness when the screen fills up with effects and monsters, especially in high definition.

Which PC should you choose for Diablo IV?

TargetRecommended graphics cardRecommended processor
1080p at high refresh rateRTX 5060 Ti 16GB or RX 9060 XT 16GBCore i5 or recent Ryzen 5
1440p at high qualityRTX 5070 or RX 9070 XTRyzen 7 X3D or recent Core i5/i7
4KRTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5080Ryzen 7 X3D or recent Core i7

Our assembler’s verdict: for Diablo IV, the platform matters less than the graphics card. Intel and AMD both do the job very well: a 14th-gen Core i5 or a Ryzen 5 7500F is enough to comfortably exceed 60 frames per second. Above all, keep at least 16GB of RAM and an NVMe SSD for fast loading between areas.
