Which gaming PC to play Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO?

System requirements, 60 FPS cap and 2026 DLC

By the FlowUP team, gaming PC builder in Genappe (Belgium) · Updated 30 September 2026

In brief: Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO runs on modest PCs. The recommended setup calls for a Core i7-9700K or Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM and an RTX 2060 (or an RX Vega 64) for 1080p at 60 frames per second in high quality. Most importantly, the game is locked to 60 frames per second on PC: there’s no point aiming for a very high-end card for 1080p. Invest instead in resolution: a RTX 5060 Ti or RX 9060 XT 16 GB for 1440p, a RTX 5070 or better for 4K.

Sparking! ZERO in 2026: where does the game stand?

Released on 11 October 2024 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, Sparking! ZERO is the successor to Budokai Tenkaichi: fast, spectacular 3D arena battles with a huge roster drawn from Dragon Ball, Z, Super and GT. On 30 July 2026, the biggest expansion for the game launched: Super Limit-Breaking NEO adds 33 characters, a single-player mode, Limit Breaker Journey, to progress and customise your fighters, four Episode Battles and four arenas.

On the same day, a free update added two combat mechanics, Sparking! Boost and the Chain Blast, as well as three arena variations. Here’s the official trailer for the expansion:

A game locked to 60 frames per second

This is the key point to know before buying a PC for Sparking! ZERO: on PC, the game is capped at 60 frames per second. Its producer, Jun Furutani, explained that the team wanted to deliver the same experience across all platforms. So a 144 or 240 Hz monitor won’t give you anything extra here.

Our builder’s take: for this game, any extra power goes into resolution and settings. Given the recommended setup (an RTX 2060 for 1080p in high quality), a mid-range card you can buy today like the RTX 5060 Ti is more than enough to handle 60 frames per second at 1440p. The processor matters less: a recent Core i5 or Ryzen 5 is more than sufficient. To choose the graphics card properly, see how to choose a graphics card in 2026.

For Sparking! ZERO, a mid-range PC is enough: prioritise resolution rather than frame rate.
