LDLC review: what to know about the Lyon gaming PC pioneer

Who is LDLC, its Trustpilot rating, and what you need to read about the warranty and after-sales service before buying a gaming PC

By the FlowUP team, gaming PC builder in Genappe (Belgium) · Updated 15 October 2026

In brief

  • LDLC is an IT hardware distributor founded in 1996 near Lyon by Laurent de La Clergerie.
  • LDLC Group is listed on the stock exchange and also owns Materiel.net, Top Achat and Rue du Commerce.
  • On Trustpilot: 4.3/5 for 201,816 reviews (as of 13 October 2026).

LDLC, who are they?

LDLC is one of the pioneers of online retail in France. Laurent de La Clergerie, a 26-year-old engineer from Lyon, founded the company in 1996, and it was listed on the stock exchange as early as 2000.

  • Company: public limited company with a management board and a supervisory board, RCS Lyon 403 554 181, share capital of €1,110,919.68, head office at 2 rue des Érables, Limonest.
  • Stock market: the LDLC Group is listed on Euronext Growth.
  • Acquisitions: Materiel.net, then Top Achat in 2020 and Rue du Commerce in 2024. The group also launched Altyk in 2022, computers presented as manufactured in France.

Their business is distance selling of computer hardware, with more than 25,000 references offered. For a gamer:

  • LDLC gaming PCs, sold under the store’s own brand, with a configurator;
  • a network of own and franchise shops;
  • “Free 5-year warranty on many products” and delivery “from the next day”, according to their homepage.

Information taken from their legal information, their homepage and Wikipedia. FlowUP has no commercial link with LDLC. LDLC is a registered trademark of its owner.

LDLC reviews: what you should take away

On “LDLC reviews”, Google links to Trustpilot: a page “LDLC reviews and after-sales service” published by the retailer, Verified Reviews, Reddit, the forum of Que Choisir and a YouTube video.

  • Trustpilot: 4.3 out of 5 for 201,816 reviews (13 October 2026).
  • Profile: claimed since October 2012.

A reliable LDLC review is based on what you can verify: 30 years in business, stock exchange listing with public accounts, physical shops and a catalogue far broader than just gaming PCs. We haven’t tested their machines or their service, so we’ll refrain.

What people search for right after is “LDLC warranty” and “after-sales service”. In other words: what happens after payment? Does the machine hold up, and does someone respond when it doesn’t? That’s the topic FlowUP has worked on the most.

Before buying a gaming PC, read the warranty

A warranty is read with three questions:

  • For how long?
  • Just parts, or parts and labour?
  • How does it work in practice? Who diagnoses the issue, who pays for shipping, and after how many days you get back a machine that works.

We often forget the diagnosis. Yet many “breakdowns” aren’t:

  • a screen cable plugged into the motherboard instead of the graphics card;
  • a memory profile disabled after a BIOS update;
  • a driver that crashes.

A after-sales service that can take control remotely fixes that in one call. If they first require you to return the machine, you’ll be without a PC for weeks because it was a false problem.

One last thing: the 14-day right of withdrawal on an online purchase. Any serious European seller applies it. The only practical condition for using it without discussion is to keep the boxes.

At FlowUP: 2 years’ warranty and after-sales service that picks up the phone

FlowUP is a Belgian brand, based in Genappe, born out of the YouTube channel FrenchHardware and more than 50,000 PCs have already come out of the workshop. Before even talking warranty, every gaming PC assembled at our place undergoes a full stress test (processor, graphics card, memory, temperatures) before being approved. A good portion of defective components are spotted there and never reach you.

The original boxes are also used for returns in case of after-sales service or withdrawal: keep them.

If something’s not right:

  • 2 years’ warranty, parts and labour, in addition to the manufacturer warranties for each component.
  • A ticket in two minutes, or a call to Customer Service: +33 7 44 30 30 82 in France, +32 460 24 26 11 in Belgium.
  • A diagnosis with a technician (tests, logs, remote hands if possible), then repair or replacement.
  • Requests handled within 48 hours.

Keep the original boxes: double packaging (air cushion in the casing, second reinforced cardboard box) also helps for a return for Customer Service or a withdrawal. For ordering, allow 5 to 7 business days before handing it over to UPS. That’s the time needed for assembly, testing and packing, and we prefer this over a 24-hour dispatch. We deliver to France, Belgium and Switzerland, and you can pay by card, Bancontact or Alma in instalments depending on your country.

Our workshop position:

  • On a tight budget, a well-cooled 16 GB graphics card ages better than a faster card with 8 GB.
  • Above €2,000, 32 GB of DDR5 is no longer a luxury: that’s what demanding games and parallel streaming require.

The full range is on the page for pre-built gaming PCs, and the month’s discounts are listed in the gaming PCs on promotion.

Customer Service, told by our customers

Over 1,350 customers give us 5 stars on Trustpilot, and many specifically mention the Customer Service. Three examples (spelling corrected by us):

“Graphics card burnt out after 15 months, replaced with a new one free of charge: top-notch after-sales service!”

Gilles Bourdeau, Trustpilot, 26 August 2026

“Their customer service called to check whether there had been any problems. Perfect follow-up.”

An Fe, Trustpilot, 28 September 2026

“5 months after I bought my PC, their team called me to follow up on my experience.”

Frequently asked questions about the warranty for a gaming PC

Does the 2-year warranty cover labour?

At FlowUP, yes. The 2-year warranty on assembled PCs covers defective parts and labour. If there’s a breakdown, Customer Service carries out a diagnosis, then repairs or replaces the unit, and the manufacturer warranties for each component are added to ours.

Do I need to send the PC back at the slightest problem?

No. We always start with a diagnosis with a technician, by phone or ticket, and with remote assistance when possible. Many issues are resolved this way. The PC only comes back to the workshop if the repair requires it, in its original packaging.

What does the 14-day right of withdrawal cover?

For distance purchases, you can return the PC within 14 days after receiving it. At FlowUP, we refund after receipt and verification of the product, which is why it’s important to keep the original packaging.
